What started as a small creative project in 2021 quickly turned into something much bigger than I ever imagined. At the time, I was pregnant with my first baby and on maternity leave earlier than expected. I’ve always been someone who likes to stay busy and learn new things, so I opened a small Etsy shop thinking it would just be a fun way to create and maybe bring in a little extra income.

Well… it turns out I absolutely fell in love with it.

What started with simple designs grew into late nights learning new skills, experimenting with materials, and discovering the incredible community of makers and small business owners out there doing the same thing.

Fast forward a few years and life looks a little different around here. By 2024 I had two lasers running in my home studio, two growing Etsy shops, products stocked in retail stores, and two little kids who keep me on my toes every single day.

Running a business while raising young kids is messy, loud, chaotic, and incredibly rewarding all at the same time. My days are often filled with the hum of the lasers in the background, little feet running through the house, and a constant (attempt to) balance of family time and creative time.

Along the way I realized something else I love just as much as creating, helping other makers succeed.

Before this business I worked in orthopaedic surgery as a nurse, and that heart for helping people never really left me. It just found a new home in the maker community. Whether it’s designing SVG files, sharing ideas, teaching Pinterest strategies, or encouraging other small business owners, I truly believe there is room for all of us to grow.

When I’m not designing new files or working on laser projects, you’ll probably find me camping with my family in the Rocky Mountains, chasing my kids around outside, or attempting to drink a hot cup of coffee before it inevitably gets forgotten somewhere in the house.
